Who we are
As a grassroots-focused, Muslim-led organisation, Raqīb is dedicated to countering hate speech, Islamophobia, prejudice, and other extremist views in the public domain, so that our young people are empowered to choose their own positive narrative.
Our Principals are well-respected Australians with years of experience in areas such as research, security, not-for-profit, and policy. Our representatives are exceptional young people who are connected to the wonderfully diverse Muslim communities.

Safe Spaces program
Raqīb's Safe Spaces program exists to empower our youth by providing them with safe spaces online and on the ground where they can openly discuss their experiences growing up as Muslims in Australia. Safe Spaces is facilitated by educated, influential ‘right models’ within the Muslim community who are well equipped to demystify topics and offer practical strategies to their peers.

Social media counter narrative
In collaboration with You Tube, Google Australia , Vice Productions, Love Frankie, and the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS), Raqīb is kick-starting our social media activities by producing a counter narrative to online expressions of hate-speech that aren’t limited to modern-day nation-state boundaries. These videos feature our ‘right models’ in a manner designed to dispel negative and harmful messages which exists in the public domain. By debunking hate speech, we counter extremism of all sorts and build social inclusion.
